Including a talk by celebrity photographer Anthony Grant
The University of the Third Age, or U3A is holding its next monthly meeting on Tuesday 8 October at St Mary’s Church Hall on the corner of Edith Road and Hammersmith Road from 10.30 am till 12.30am.
This month the guest speaker is celebrity photographer Anthony Grant, who has spent 40 years snapping famous people raising awareness and donations for the country's leading cancer hospital, the Royal Marsden, following the death of his father. You can read more about Anthony's work and see some of those portraits at his website, Portraits for a Purpose.
Attendance is free for members. Visitors are welcome for a donation of £2.50 which will be refunded to those joining on the day.
The meetings begin with an update from the Chair,
current news from Group Conveners and any other items of interest. This is followed by tea, coffee and biscuits (50p) where members have the chance to socialise.
Here's the full programme for the rest of 2019:

Hammersmith & Fulham U3A has been active in Hammersmith for the past 11 years. A general meeting is held on the second Tuesday of each month for all members where matters of the day are discussed and a speaker is invited to give a talk. Members also organise various activities across the month at given venues or members homes.
The U3A is aimed mainly at people who have retired or are semi-retired, but other people who feel they have time to enjoy leisurely activities are always welcome.
