Lillie Road Pop-up Venue The Prince Launches on 15 November

With space for 800 people in two bars, four restaurants and woodland garden

The Incipio Group, which is creating The Prince, has also announced that food at the venue will be produced by a rotating selection of independent eateries, beginning with burger specialists Patty & Bun, Vietnamese barbecue restaurant MAM, modern Thai concept Begging Bowl Canteen and Rabbit, which celebrates British wild food.

The premises at 2 - 14 Lillie Road were closed down and earmarked for demolition as part of the massive Earls Court development, but are now being being temporarily revived for the next two years.

The Prince will initially be open from 15 November till New Year's Eve, but is to be reopened for spring in February.

Incipio says that it will have two bars, four restaurants, and a secret woodland garden, altogether creating space for 800 people.

It says of the concept: "Our story starts with our rejuvenated Victorian boozer. The old Prince of Wales pub has been lovingly restored – think low-hanging brass lights, marble table tops and oak flooring, the pub offers a sanctuary of snugness during cold winter days. We’ve also given a new lease of life to the four run-down buildings next-door, handing them over to some of London’s top independent eateries.

"If you delve a little deeper into the darkest recesses of these neighbouring, unassuming old buildings, through quiet corners and unmarked doors, and you’ll discover a magical woodland world of twisting paths and secret cabins……Here lies the hidden beauty of The Prince.

"Fully protected from the elements, our warm, covered Pergola gardens have an ethereal, otherworldly beauty to them that can’t but take your breath away.

"Find this secret woodland space through a small door at the back of each restaurant, the space will begin with a top deck that will lead down into an enchanting garden. Lounge here with friends on a day bed, tuck into some mind-meltingly delicious grub, or sip cocktails in a cosy tucked-away corner, the minutes and hours will melt away. You won’t believe you’re in the bustling, beating heart of West London.

"Fully covered, heated, and with clear roofing – we’re bringing the outside IN."

Incipio's growing number of local pop-up venues include the Pergola On the Roof and Little Feast in Shepherd's Bush, and a modern food court called Feast Canteen opening in Hammersmith's Kings Mall in January 2018.

You can now make reservations on The Prince's website where you can also claim a free drink.

Earls Court developer Capco is also intending to reopen premises at 16 - 22 Lillie Road, which were also closed down for redevelopment, to create a temporary parade of shops with units operated by independent retailers.

A letter accompanying an application to H&F Council from planning consultancy DP9 Ltd says: "The proposed temporary pop-up will bring eleven vacant commercial units back into use and provide a range of high street uses that will be available to the local community.

"The proposed temporary uses will create numerous job opportunities and the improvement to this local parade will improve the character and appearance of this part of Lillie Road for both the local community and visitors to enjoy."

The letter goes on to say that the temporary "pop-up" period for the whole parade, from 2 - 26 Lillie Road will be a "meanwhile" use during the interim period before redevelopment proposals for the buildings are finalised and secured.
