Grand Finale This Weekend for Shepherd's Bush's Comedy Festival


Catch top comic talents at venues in Hammersmith Grove and White City

 

The Shepherd's Bush's Comedy Festival continues through till Sunday 23 June at venues across W12.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council teamed up with comedy promoters Show And Tell for this year's festival, which has been running since Tuesday ,and enlisted Hammersmith's own Bill Bailey as ambassador.

"The Shepherds Bush Comedy Festival grows year on year, promotes local comedians while encouraging the use of our local venues. We are growing our own talent and boosting the local economy," says Bill.

This year’s line-up of comedians includes Tim KeyFin TaylorCaroline MabeyPrince AbdiSimon Munnery and Monkey and Roy featuring Nina Conti and Shenoah Allen.

Shows will be held at The GroveThe Princess VictoriaBush HallWhite City PlaceShepherds Bush Market and the Bush Theatre.

The Grove pub in Hammersmith Grove will host the last of three on 23 June. The line-up there includes Amy Howerska, who writes for BBC Radio 4 and is currently writing her own sitcom called Drop Zone Kidz plus Britain’s Got Talent contestant Gatis Kandis.

One of the fast-rising comedians performing at the festival is Archie Maddocks who will be part of a charity fundraiser comedy evening at White City Place in Wood Lane on 22 June. All ticket sales are to be donated to the charity Key4Life. He will be joined by Prince Abdi and comedy musician Grant Buse on the night.

Tim Key headlines a show at Bush Hall in Uxbridge Road tonight, 21 June, which includes Nina Conti alongside Shenoah Allen as the comedy duo Monkey and Roy, pictured below. Some tickets are still available.
