The Brook on the Goldhawk Road to be rebranded
The bad news is that this has nothing to do with Kate Middleton but the good news is that the ill-fated Brook Pub and Restaurant is to reopen as an 'ale and brewhouse'.
The new establishment on the corner of Stamford Brook Road and Goldhawk Road is promising a large choice of independently brewed, hand pumped & gravity poured real ales & ciders as well as a selection of premium international bottled beers and wines, with a specialist whisky and tequila bar. They will also be serving traditional & seasonal 'English Fayre' and classic Sunday roasts.
A six barrel brewing plant is expected to be operational by Jan 2012.
Modelled around its sister pub, The Bree Louise in Euston, there will be regular ale festivals, live music and other promotions. The site has a decked area (with shade available) where it is intended BBQ’s will be held from 2012 between May & September.
‘Soft’ opening for trade persons, neighbours and bookings in the function room for the Rugby World Cup, will begin from September 9th, followed by full launch the following month.
The intention is to offer Rugby World Cup breakfasts in the function room, where friends will be able to gather to watch the match, whilst enjoying a selection of butties and cask ale on gravity.
As at The Bree Louise, customers will be asked if they are members of CAMRA, the Armed Forces, NHS staff or Students, and will receive £0.50 off per pint with ID.
