Join library workshops to help you join the competition
The Reading Agency, a charity which aims to inspire people to read more, is working with Hammersmith & Fulham libraries to encourage local people to share their true stories for the BBC's My Story.
My Story is a competition for ordinary people to tell their extraordinary stories. Finalists in the contest will tell their story in a major BBC One series, and five people will win a fantastic book deal.
Story facilitator Gerry Ryan will be holding a series of group workshops offering help on an individual basis to people who are interested in taking part.
These workshops will be on:
Wednesday November 4 at 10am, Bishop Creighton House, Lillie Road
Friday November 6 at 10am, Archives & Local History Centre, Lila Huset, Talgarth Road
Saturday November 7 at 10am, New Shepherds Bush Library, Westfield Retail Centre
Booking is essential for these sessions. For information and booking, contact Debby Wale, Reader Development Librarian on 020 8753 3812, or email debby.wale@lbhf.gov.uk.
Individual sessions are available for those unable to attend a workshop, which can be booked at the individual venues. If you have your story ready on a USB memory stick, you can upload them during these individual sessions.
