Fulham's Smallest Playground Reopens

New play equipment for Maxwell Road Play Area

Maxwell Road playground has reopened for local toddlers, thanks to £50,000 funding from Chelsea Football Club.

The small play area for under eights, located on the corner of Maxwell Road and Moore Park Road has new swings, a roundabout, a slide and a new play surface.

The Mayor, Cllr Alex Karmel, along with Hammersmith and Fulham member for parks, culture and heritage, Cllr Frances Stainton, and representatives of Chelsea FC officially reopened the playground last Sunday.

Now local families are enjoying the new facilities. The playground faciities were originally installed in the mid 1990s, but have recently needed replacing.

Cllr Stainton said: " I think we can all agree that the new playground looks magnificent and I am sure that it will prove to be hugely popular with all the young people in the area."

Chelsea FC Group Secretary Alan Shaw, said: " We are pleased to be associated with this project."
