Excitement as the Olympic winners judge school events
Rio's Gold and Silver Olympic medal-winning triathletes, Alistair and Johnny Brownlee, have been the cause of much excitement at The Park Club, Acton, this week as the club hosted a schools Triathlon.
It was a fantastic opportunity for 700 pupils, aged 9, 10 and 11 years, to ‘have a go’ at swimming, cycling and running in a friendly and fun atmosphere with special appearances from the Brownlee brothers.
The Brownlee brothers have had such enormous pleasure from swimming, cycling, running and triathlon that they set up their own Foundation to help give the opportunity to as many children as possible.
They have had events in Yorkshire since 2014, and the number of kids has grown each year.
One of the Foundations biggest supporter is The Collective, their head office is in Acton and so they want to do something for their own community and the Park Club agreed to host the day.
Jonny tweeted today that "a wonderful day was had by all. Great to see so many inspired children."
Here are some images of the fun.
