Fulham Broadway to Get McGettigan's Pub

Irish chain takes over site at 1 Fulham Broadway from Brogan's

Well known Fulham Broadway bar Brogan's is about to be replaced by a brand new pub called McGettigan's, after it was sold by Brogan's owners Glendola Leisure.

The McGettigan Group is a long established Irish chain which opened its first pub in Dublin 50 years ago and now has 11 pubs across Ireland and the Middle East plus a recent launch in New York.

Brand manager Declan Pierce told the Evening Standard that the family-run company hopes to open three pubs in London by the end of the year, with the first opening at the three-storey 1 Fulham Broadway in March.

He says: " We will bring high quality bands over from
Ireland to play at our venues and serve high-quality food. There are huge numbers of Irish people in London and we believe there is demand for our brand."

James Davies from specialists agency Fleurets, who acted on behalf of Glendola Leisure says: " Fulham Broadway is once again becoming a popular bar and restaurant circuit so demand for Brogan’s was strong with a number of offers from well known operators.

" McGettigan’s acted very professionally throughout the transaction and having visited one of their venues, I am confident it will quickly become a success and we will soon see more McGettigan’s popping up!"
