Strong performance for H & F schools despite boycott
League tables for Hammersmith and Fulham primary schools whose 11 year-old pupils took SATs exams earlier this year were published this week.
These tests proved controversial with teachers at 11 schools choosing to boycott them. Among the 24 who did take part, the majority reached the government's target, with at least 60% of pupils achieving Level 4 in both English and Maths.
The top performing school was Miles Coverdale in Shepherd's Bush, where 97% of pupils passed both English and Maths. It was closely followed by St Stephen's in Uxbridge Road with 96%, London Oratory School in Fulham with 94%, St Augustine's with 93% and Greenside with 91%.

Removal of KS2 Science test data from the Tables: The discontinuation of mandatory KS2 Science National Curriculum Tests in science means that they no longer appear on league tables. The Department of Education 'do not consider that Teacher Assessment data is subject to sufficient stringent external and consistent moderation to be suitable for combination with test results in performance measures'.
