While three local restaurants gain one star including newcomer Endo at the Rotunda
King Street restaurant L'Amorosa has retained its Bib Gourmand in the new 2020 Michelin Guide.
That means that, once again, it is the only restaurant in our borough to win the prestigious Bib Gourmand, which is awarded to restaurants that are judged to be delivering both good quality and good value by inspectors.
The restaurant, at 278 King Street close to Ravenscourt Park, which was opened by chef patron Andy Needhamin 2014 greeted the news by tweeting @LamorosaLondon:
"
L'Amorosa is delighted to have retained our Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2020 , such a great honour. Go team!! ,so proud! Once again we are the only restaurant Hammersmith & Fulham borough. Congratulations also to all the new additions."
L’Amorosa offers informal, modern Italian cooking and service, using a combination of the best British and Italian seasonal ingredients sourced from the same suppliers used in Belgravia. Accompanied by an all-Italian wine list.
Bookings can be made on the L'amorosa website by email bookings@lamorosa.com.uk or calling the restaurant on 020 8563 0300.
Three other local restaurants have been awarded one Michelin star in the new guide. In White City, Endo at The Rotunda, on the eighth floor of Television Centre's Helios Building in Wood Lane, is among newcomers gaining a star for the first time with the guide saying: "Former Zuma Group executive chef Endo Kazutoshi runs this 15-cover sushi restaurant with a stripped-back, classical Japanese aesthetic and Omakase-style dining."
Endo, seen above receiving his award at Fulham's Hurlingham Club on 7 October, received a string of congratulations from colleagues, including a tweet from champagne company Charles Heidseck, with a tweet @CHChampagneUK
saying: " Third generation sushi master Endo Kazutoshi has been awarded a most-deserved Michelin star for Endo at The Rotunda, where they pour our flagship Brut Réserve. His passion for showmanship and performance inspires so we predict this will not be his first!"
You can find out more about Endo at the Rotunda, which says it serves Sushi in the Clouds here.
Two other celebrate local restaurants retained their Michelin stars - Hammersmith's River Cafe and Fulham's Harwood Arms.
