You can find out what's going on by entering your postcode on the Join In website.

Comedian Eddie Izzard, who is promoting Join In Weekend, says: " The Olympic Games have been a unique moment in the history of the United Kingdom. To make them happen, we had the help of the largest volunteer force this country has seen since World World 2.

"The atmosphere has been amazing, the energy has been amazing, and this must not be the end of all this enthusiasm and energy. Now is the time, this weekend to take it all back to the local clubs where it all began."

Join In Local Sport is managed and run by the registered charity, The Join In Trust Limited, which is funded by government grant, and endorsed by the Sports Councils and National Governing Bodies of sport, as well as many local and regional sporting organisations.

Seb Coe, chair of London 2012 says: "We are really happy to support Join In. I hope this creates opportunities in every community for people to join in their local sports clubs."
