WiFi Now Available at Hammersmith Tube Station

And coming soon to Shepherd's Bush, Earls Court and Overground stations

WiFi services are now available at over 100 tube stations across London including Hammersmith.

WiFi is being rolled out along the District and Piccadilly Lines, with South Kensington, Gloucester Road and all stations between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington already active and Earls Court next in line to be enabled.

It is also rolling out along the Central Line, with stations from Marble Arch to Notting Hill Gate up and running and Holland Park and Shepherd's Bush next in line. Shepherd's Bush Overground Station is also due to be activated in 2013.

Transport for London says everyone with a WiFi enabled device can check for the latest travel information for free through the Virgin Media portal when they connect to WiFi.

If you are a Virgin Media, Vodafone, EE, TMobile or Orange customer, you can access the Internet on WiFi for no extra cost.

To use the service, you will need to register with your provider through the Virgin Media portal the first time you pick up the signal in a WiFi enabled station.

The signal is available everywhere in stations - ticket halls, corridors and on platforms, although not in tunnels.

If you are not a customer of one of the above, you will be able to use WiFi by purchasing a Virgin Media WiFi Pass.
