Stretch from Lillie Road till Bramber Road reopens on Saturday
Essential road works in North End Road, at the junction of Lillie Road, afre continuing until the weekend after the council’s contractors came up against unforeseen engineering difficulties.
This means the road will stay closed between Lillie Road and Bramber Road until
all drainage and carriageway resurfacing work finishes, which is now expected to be on Saturday March 15 at noon.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s cabinet member for transport and technical services Cllr Victoria Brocklebank-Fowler says: " Our contractors are doing everything they can to get the work done as quickly as possible, with extended working hours over the weekend and will be monitoring the site closely.
" We will also be checking the works via CCTV to make sure everything is being done to finish as soon as possible."
The work is to unblock and replace old gullies that will help drain away rain water and prevent flooding in the area.
