With M4 second in UK's top ten congestion hotspots
The A4 has been named the UK's worst road.
Acording to the Traffic Scorecard Report from traffic information company Inrix, the A4 topped the list of congestion hotspots, with the afternoon peak on the stretch between central London and the Junction 3 of the M4 near Heathrow clocking up 91 annual delay hours.
Second in this "worst road" list, with 73 hours of annual delays, was the M4 going in the opposite direction in the afternoon between the M4 Junction 3 and central London.

All top ten roads named in the report were in London and all were at their worst in the afternoons.Londoners face the second worst congestion in Europe, second only to Brussels wasting approximately 82 hours in 2013, ten hours more than the previous year.
The Traffic Scorecard Report shows traffic congestion in Europe is on the rise for the first time in two years and the UK is ranked sixth for the worst traffic in Europe with drivers wasting approximately thirty hours last year in gridlock.
