Games Lanes Cease to Operate Today

Roads revert to normal until Saturday August 25

London's Games Lanes are no longer in operation from today, Wednesday August 15.

Roads have now reverted to normal, but Transport for London says that some road changes will be reintroduced later in August as part of the Paralympic Route Network, or PRN.

In preparation for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, which open on August 29 and run until September 9, the building of the PRN will commence from the evening of Saturday 25 August and will be in place for Sunday 26 August.

Games Lanes will not be activated until 29 August.

The largest crowd in the event's history is expected at the London Paralympic Games, with over two million tickets already sold and more still available. You can search for a available events and buy tickets here
