Three day mix of music, theatre, dance and poetry begins today in Lyric Square

This weekend, from 29 June to 1 July, Hammersmith's annual Summer Festival hosts LyricFest in Lyric Square.

This three day event jam will be packed with free outdoor entertainment including music, theatre, dance, poetry and more, as The Lyric brings an extraordinary line up of talent to Lyric Square to celebrate the vibrant and diverse community of Hammersmith.

29 June - 5.00pm, Love Letters; 5.30pm, Comedy;m6.30pm, Guilty Pleasures DJ set

30 June - 11.00am, Family Disco (DanceWest) midday, The Little Gardner;1pm, Puppets with Guts workshop (durational); 1.30pm, ZooNation performance; 3pm, Rhinoceros Run 4pm, The Little Gardener; 5pm and 7pm, How To Fail at Being Perfect

1 July - 11am, Stop Drop and Yoga; 12.15pm, FRAME RAVE; 1.15pm, The Extraordinary Story of Human Beings, Energy and Happiness – Paul Allen talk; 2.30pm, Tri-borough Music Orchestra performance; 5.00pm, Bees!

Run by HammersmithLondon, the Summer Festival continues in July with another month of fun in the sun in Lyric Square. Here's what to expect in the weeks ahead:

Tuesday 3, 10 July, 12.45 – 1.30pm - DW Fitness in the Square

3 July – H.I.I.T
10 July – Bootcamp

Equipment will be provided. Just bring yourself, pound those pads and burn those stresses away! Find out more

Wednesday 4 and 11 July, 12.30-1.30pm Lumi Yoga Al Fresco

Monday 2 to Sunday 15 July, from 12pm - Wimbledon
Grab your strawberries and cream and catch all the live action every day from Wimbledon on our Big Screen.

During Wimbledon, look out for the Wimbledon Winners event taking place in the Serve Kings Mall, allowing you to test your serve and challenge your friends.

Throughout July - Tour de France
Catch the cycling highlights as the riders take on the mountains and cobbled streets of France.

Thursday 12 July, Lyric Square, from 6.30pm - Don Giovanni

The Royal Opera House will broadcast a spectacular performance of Don Giovanni, Mozart’s dazzling opera which follows the adventures of the serial seducer whose dangerous liaisons lead to dark and tragic consequences. Tragic and comic in turns, this is a story high with emotions of every sort, expressed to perfection through Mozart’s musical subtlety and human insight.

APPROXIMATE RUNNING TIME: 3 HOURS 40 MINUTES, INCLUDING ONE INTERVAL | SUNG IN ITALIAN WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES

PING PONG - Throughout the Summer Festival.
The free ping pong tables will be out in Lyric square for a summer of fun! Grab a couple of bats and impress passers-by with your top-spin action.
