95% of A level grades between A* and B
Students at Hammersmith's Latymer Upper School are celebrating after the school achieved its best ever A Level results.
95% of grades were at A*-B, with 74% at either A* or A.
31% of results were awarded A* grades.
24 students received at least 3 A* grades and 9 received at least 4 A* grades.
97 students were awarded at least 1 A* grade.
The average UCAS points score per pupil was very high at 449 (the equivalent of over 3 A* grades) with 48 students achieving 500 and over.
So far 23 Oxbridge candidates have secured their places and the vast majority of students will be moving on to their first choice for higher education.
Latymer Upper Head, Peter Winter, says: " It is a great privilege to see how well students have done. This year group is our very first co-ed year group and these results show how successful the move to co-education has been.
" We are extremely pleased that all their hard work, and the hard work of the teaching staff, has paid off. I am immensely proud of this year group of students, and of the staff, and congratulate them all on their results.
" We wish our first co-ed leavers every happiness and success in their future lives and look forward to hearing of them as they move on to greater things."
