Residents holding Royal Wedding events urged to apply by April 11 deadline
Hammersmith and Fulham is set to become party central on Royal Wedding Day, according to the council.
It says it has already received 12 applications to hold street parties on April 29, when Prince William will marry Kate Middleton, and is encouraging other residents keen to hold a royal event to apply before the deadline of Monday April 11.
Cllr Harry Phibbs, H&F Council's cabinet member for community engagement, said: " There are more street parties taking place in this borough than almost any other in the country but there is still plenty of time to tell the council that you would like to host your own event. "
To apply to hold an event, residents simply have to fill in a simple online form, which you can find at Street Parties and Fetes
