Twomajor road projects are taking place in the local area as Transport for London (TfL) aims to get work completed before the Christmas holidays.

The schemes are taking place at night time on Hammersmith Road and Holland Road.

TfL is warning that from 18 November you should expect disruption on Hammersmith Road heading east into High Street Kensington.

Survey work is being carried out in short stages on the road and footpaths until the end of the month.

The final stretch of roadworks, between the junctions of Bute Gardens and Wolverton Gardens near the Broadway, is due to finish by 30 November.

Further work is planned in January and February – between the centre of Hammersmith and High Street Kensington.

Most work will be at night, from 10pm until 5am, to minimise disruption to traffic and buses, and some bus stops will be affected.

Access to the side streets off Hammersmith Road may be temporarily closed on some nights, but residents will be given advance warning by letter and signs.

Major nighttime disruption is also expected if you're driving round Holland Park roundabout from 11 – 23 November between 10pm and 5am.

From 11-13 November there will be westbound lane closures in Holland Park Avenue between Kingham Close and the roundabout, with traffic stationary for 15 minutes at a time.

From 13-14 November, eastbound lanes will be closed in Uxbridge Road between Caxton Road and Ariel Way, and on Holland Park roundabout.

From 15-19 November, there will be westbound lane closures on Shepherd’s Bush Green from the roundabout to Rockley Road.

On 19 and 20 November, expect eastbound lane closures in Uxbridge Road between Caxton Road and Ariel Way.

On 20 and 21 November, temporary traffic signals will be in place on Shepherd’s Bush Green controlling westbound traffic at the Rockley Road junction.

Bus stops will be closed from 10pm-5am, with U and V on Shepherd’s Bush Green, and X and Y at Shepherd’s Bush station, suspended on 14 November, and stop D at the station closed on 15 November.

On 18 November, it's the turn of stops E and F at Shepherd’s Bush station, with stop D again closed on 19 November. Information will be displayed at bus stops. Cyclists will be directed along alternative routes.
