Hammersmith's most celebrated restaurant, The River Cafe has won yet more plaudits in this year's National Restaurant Awards.

Run by Restaurant magazine, these awards recognise the year's top 100 restaurants, judged by 150 industry experts.

At this year's awards, held at Fulham's Hurlingham Club, The River Cafe was given the Best Italian Award, and also achieved the number ten spot in the Top 100 UK Restaurants 2016.

The riverside restaurant will be especially pleased with this year's ranking, which is a large step up from last year's top 100, when it came 36th and in 2014 when it was 33rd.
