Kids can make a splash in Ravenscourt and Bishops Parks
Children can make a splash in two local parks this bank holiday weekend, as the paddling pool and water jets open for the summer.
The very popular Ravenscourt Park paddling pool, at the southern end of the park close to Hammersmith's King Street and Ravenscourt Park tube station, was recently refurbished at a cost of £25,000, with repairs to the pipework and surfaces.
Kids can also bring along their buckets and spades as the adjoining sand play area is also open.
In Fulham, the Bishops Park water play area, with water jets and sandy urban beach by the park's pond, was part of an £8 million improvement project.
The water is treated and recycled with a pump to keep it clean and the jets are activated by standing on pressure pads, making them environmentally friendly as well as lots of fun.
H&F Council adds that these facilities, in two of the borough's 11 Green Flag parks and open spaces, are absolutely free for residents and visitors to enjoy.
