Your chance to visit borough's greenest spaces
This weekend, June 13 and 14, is Open Garden Squares Weekend, with gardens across London opening their gates to the public.
In our borough, the following gardens are open:
In Shepherd's Bush:
John Betts House, on Goldhawk Road/Rylett Road, open Saturday, 2pm - 5pm, refreshments including home make cakes and plant sales.
Phoenix School Farm and Learning Zone, Bloemfontein Road, open Saturday 10am – 4pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm.
Plant sale and refreshments.
In Hammersmith:
Ravenscourt Park Glasshouses, Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 4pm. Herbal activities. Plants and refreshments for sale. Café next door for refreshments.
William Morris Society, Kelmscott House, 26 Upper Mall, open Sunday 11am till 5pm: Museum open. Book and gift stall. Handout containing Morris’s description and plan of the 1880s garden. Display of Morris’s designs. Children’s quiz and trail. Refreshments available.
Sycamore House, Sycamore Gardens, Shepherd's Bush Road. Open Saturday 2pm - 5pm: Tea, coffee, homemade cakes. Plant and craft stalls.
In Fulham:
Fulham Palace, Saturday 11am - 4pm. Four special guided tours by volunteers for OGSW ticket holders at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm. Head gardener and members of the gardening team present in the walled garden. Museum open 1-4pm. Drawing Room Café serving light meals and refreshments, 9am-5pm. Plants for sale.
Fulham Palace Meadow Allotments, open Saturday, 11.30am till 3.30pm: Guided tours. Teas and light refreshments. Plant and produce stall. (Note that the rear gate will be open directly to Fulham Palace, also participating in the Open Garden Squares Weekend).
All Saints Vicarage Garden, 70 Fulham High Street, open Saturday 11am - 4pm.
