The set up for a previous AgeUK H&F BBQ
April 28, 2025
A new programme has been set up which will people volunteering at local community events getting exclusive early access to new venues opening in Olympia.
Olympia has partnered with EARNT, a platform that rewards people for doing good. Local residents can now volunteer their time in exchange for exclusive access to Olympia’s soon-to-launch venues – starting with a private preview of Pillar Hall, the new 30,000 sq ft restaurant by Des Gunewardena.
The next event to be part of the programme is the Age UK H&F Spring BBQ taking place at 105 Greyhound Road on Saturday 10 May. 40 volunteers are needed (20 bakers and 20 hosts). People are needed on the day of the event to set up and serve and pack down. There are two slots, 10am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm. Bakers are also required to provide food to serve and sell and raise some money to support the Age UK H&F community. You’ll need to drop these off the day before on Friday 9 May between 2-5pm.
In return, volunteers will be invited to a one-off, invite-only summer pop-up hosted by the Pillar Hall team, including a private menu preview and VIP launch perks giving access to soft launch invites, priority bookings and exclusive events.
Pillar Hall, inside Olympia’s Grade II*-listed building, will be a 30,000 sq ft destination dining experience featuring a main restaurant, a central bar, a speakeasy, a more casual café and grill, an outdoor terrace and a double-height events space for up to 600 guests which will host live music at the weekends.
