Fulham Library Hosts Free Greening Business Workshop

Find out how to save money and attract new customers on Tuesday

A free workshop teaching local businesses how they can save money and attract new customers and clients by becoming greener is taking place next week at Fulham Library.

Small to medium sized local businesses are now able to register for the free Greening Business workshop, which takes place on Tuesday August 19, and will be run by expert consultants from Groundwork London.

Businesses taking part will learn about reducing their environmental impact and developing a draft environmental policy that they can show clients. In addition, they will receive one-to-one tailor-made support after the event as part of a package of services usually worth £1,500 but free to businesses that attended the workshop.

Cllr Andrew Jones, Hammersmith & Fulham Council's cabinet member for economic development and regeneration, said: "There are many fantastic businesses in H&F and I would urge them to see whether this workshop could help them become even more successful.

"We're committed to working actively with local businesses to support the local economy and initiatives like this provide a great platform to give business in the borough a boost."

The free Greening Business workshop takes place at Fulham Library, in Fulham Road, from 9.45am to 1.30pm on Tuesday, August 19. Breakfast will during the workshop is included and will be provided by Whole Foods, Fulham.

The workshop is free to all local businesses that meet the following criteria:

• Are a small to medium sized business in H&F
• Employ fewer than 250 staff
• Have an annual turnover of less than £3.96million and/or balance sheet of less than £3.41million
• Have not received more than £396,000 worth of State Aid in the past two fiscal years.
