Police and family members are increasingly concerned for the well-being of 19-year-old Richard Okorogheye who has not been seen since 8.30pm on Monday 22 March when he left his home in Ladbroke Grove.

Richard had told his mother he was struggling to cope after having to shield for such a long period due to his diagnosis of sickle cell anaemia and the need to continue his IT degree at Oxford Brooks University remotely. His condition meant that he could only leave the house for hospital appointments during lockdown.

Richard is known to frequent the Fulham and Hammersmith areas.

Chief Inspector Clare McCarthy of the Met's Central West Command Unit said, “Our officers have been working tirelessly to locate Richard, using all investigative opportunities and data enquires, speaking with witnesses and trawling CCTV.

"We are following every lead possible and are appealing for the public to help us in our work. If you may have seen Richard, please contact police.

"If Richard is safe and well, we ask him to contact us as a matter of urgency so that we can put his family's minds at ease.”

If you have any information, call the police on 101 quoting 21MIS008134. In an emergency call 999.
