growing concerns for the well-being of Alice Hart

Police who were appealing for help finding Alice Hart, 23, who was last seen at Charing Cross Hospital on Tuesday evening, say a body has been found at Lonsdale Road Reservoir in Barnes.

The sad discovery was made after officers were called at around 9.57am today, 9 February to reports of a body of a woman found at the reservoir in Lonsdale Road, SW13.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

While formal identification is still to be carried out, police say Alice's family has been informed of this development.

Alice was known to enjoy green spaces, and a helicopter was deployed over Richmond Park during the search.

Fiona Hart, Alice’s mother, joined the appeal for information, saying:"Alice is a very vulnerable young woman, my beloved daughter. We are desperate for anyone with any information to come forward.

"Alice, please come home. Mummy, Charlie and Lucy all want you home. We can get through this."

Police say that enquiries continue, but at this early stage in the investigation, the death is being treated as unexplained.

Enquiries continue.
