Mayor Hosts Fundraising Evening at Lala Brasserie

Supporting West London Action for Children and Mayhew Animal Home

The Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham is hosting a fundraising evening for her two chosen mayoral charities at the end of this month.

Councillor Belinda Donovan, who is supporting The Mayhew Animal Home and West London Action for Children this year, is holding an evening of fun and entertainment at Lala Brasserie in Hammersmith on November 30, from 7.30pm-11pm, to raise money for the charities.

West London Action for Children is a local charity offering counselling and therapy services for children in need and their families. The charity supports families under stress to develop their confidence and skills to cope with all challenges of family life, including bereavement, domestic violence, abuse, poverty and isolation.

The Mayhew Animal Home was established in 1886 and is currently one of the busiest and animal welfare organisations in London, helping thousands of dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals escape a life of abandonment, neglect and cruelty each year. More than just a rescue and re-homing centre, The Mayhew offers free and low-cost veterinary services from a community veterinary clinic and provides a range of community animal care programmes.

Cllr Donovan said: “These charities do fantastic work in our borough and I am proud to be supporting them this year. The evening at Lala is an opportunity to help the Mayhew and West London Action for Children continue to carry out important and vital work in H&F and across west London. I hope the night is successful and raises lots of money, so I would urge people to come along!”

Tickets are £40 and the price includes entry, buffet supper, drinks and entertainment. They can be bought from the mayor’s office at Hammersmith Town Hall by calling 020 8753 2013 or by emailing mayor@lbhf.gov.uk.
