Supermarket still has some vacancies on offer at new store
Budget supermarket Lidl has confirmed it will open in the West 12 Centre in Shepherd's Bush on Thursday 22 February.
Refitting of the ground floor space formerly occupied by Morrisons has been ongoing for several months.
The launch has brought around 40 new jobs to the area, with some still available on the supermarket's website for more details.
Lidl UK’s Regional Head of Property, Shane O’Farrell says: "We are delighted to be opening a new store in Shepherd’s Bush, which marks another milestone in our ambitious store expansion programme.
"We’ve seen incredible demand for Lidl stores across the country and look forward to offering our quality products and incredible value to shoppers in the near future."
Lidl says customers can expect to find a wide range of products from quality British fruit and vegetables to premium wines from its Wine Cellar collections.
Lidl's arrival is a major boost for the West12 Centre on the south side of Shepherd's Bush Green.
Units 1 -2 at the rear of the centre's ground floor, had been empty since the closure of Morrisons in November 2016 when news of Lidl's plans first leaked out last summer.
