Hammersmith Library Hosts Art Exhibition
See artwork by Brook Green Artists and Silver Studio
Hammersmith Library in Shepherd's Bush Road is hosting an art exhibition from July 3 till 6.
Staged by local resident Gilia Slocock, the event will feature some artwork from Hammersmith & Fulham’s archives.
Entitled Brook Green Artists, 1890-1940, the event will also include work from Silver Studio, Cyril Power, Sybil Andrews and Leon Underwood.
The significance of the Silver Studio as a design practice was acknowledged in 1981 with the awarding of an English Heritage blue plaque to 84 Brook Green, which was both the Studio and the Silver family home.
The event runs from July 3-6. Opening times are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 3 – 11am to 6pm
- Thursday, July 4 – 11am to 7pm
- Friday, July 5 - 11am to 4.30pm
- Saturday, July 6 - 11am to 4.30pm
