The movie will reportedly begin begin with Bond living in the Caribbean, after quitting his role with MI6. His peacehowever is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain, played by Rami Malek, armed with dangerous new technology.

According to the Daily Mail, Lashana's character, listed as Nomi, makes her debut in one of the film's pivotal scenes.

A source told the paper: " At the start of the film M says, "Come in 007", and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman.

"It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007."
