Local churches take part in nationwide event inspired by Jo Cox
Organisations across the borough are taking part in this weekend's Great Get Together - and are inviting local people to join in the fun.
The Great Get Together is inspired by Yorkshire MP Jo Cox, who was killed on 16 June 2016 and this year's nationwide event, takes place on 22– 24 June, which would have been Jo’s 44th birthday
The organisers, Jo's family and friends say: " We believe there is a groundswell of people who reject divisive politics and simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us. This is our chance."
