Potential carers invited to monthly information events
Could you become a foster carer?
Three local boroughs, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster City Council joined their adoption and fostering services in April 2012 to provide a dedicated service for adoption and fostering.
You can find out more by going along to one of the regular fostering information events taking place this spring where you will have the opportunity to find out more about fostering in person from a social worker and/or a foster care.
The event will include a powerpoint presentation and therefore it is important to arrive at the schedule time. You will also have the opportunity to raise any questions you have with a social worker or foster care at the event.
The next monthly meetings are as follows:
Fostering information evening | Thursday 14 March 2019 | 6pm - 8pm | Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, W8 7NX |
Fostering information morning | Wednesday 17 April 2019 | 10.30am - 12.30pm | 5 Strand, WC2N 5HR (room tbc) |
Fostering information morning - Fostering Fortnight | Thursday 16 May 2019 | 10.30am - 12.30pm | Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, W6 9JR (Committee Room 2) |
Fostering information evening - Fostering Fortnight | Thursday 16 May 2019 | 6pm - 8pm | Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, W6 9JR (Courtyard Room) |
To book a place at one of these events, you can register online or call either 0800 169 3497 or 020 8753 1057 for more information.
H&F Council's fostering team also holds drop-in sessions where you can find out more about fostering. You will have the chance to ask questions and discuss them with a social worker on a one-to-one basis.
Sessions are held on the first Wednesday of every month between 10am and 4pm at Hammersmith Town Hall, 1st Floor, King Street, London W6 9JU.
Please come to the reception on the first floor of the Town Hall Extension and ask to speak to a member of the fostering team, who will then come and meet you.
