Drinks Company Fever-Tree Donates £10,000 to UNITED Appeal


Brook Green firm helps support vulnerable and high-risk members of our community

Brook Green-based mixer drink company Fever-Tree which has donated £10,000 to keep H&F residents safe from coronavirus.

The company has donated the funds to the UNITED in Hammersmith & Fulham Community Coronavirus (Covid-19) Response Appeal, which coordinates frontline efforts from fellow charities to shield vulnerable and high-risk families and individuals.

Fever-Tree’s Jess Ainley said: “The impact the virus is having on communities is unprecedented, and it’s more important than ever to come together and support one another.”

She added that as the mixed brand’s HQ is in Hammersmith, the firm wanted to support the work of the charity UNITED.

Cllr Sue Fennimore, Deputy Leader at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, praised Fever-Tree for its generosity. “This fund was created to enable businesses and individuals to support the local response to the virus – and Fever-Tree’s kind gift will assist the most vulnerable in our community cope at this desperate time.”

UNITED in Hammersmith & Fulham is working in partnership with H&F Council to distribute funds via the voluntary sector to help those in need and stop the spread of the virus.

Groups which will benefit include local non-profit organisations supporting high-risk elderly residents, those in poverty, local people with HIV, the learning-disabled community and those with mental health conditions likely to be worsened by the lockdown.

Savraj Kaur, Programme Development Lead, said: “We’re grateful that Fever-Tree has stepped up to help the community in what’s all our neighbourhood at this testing time. It helps us provide immediate relief to those facing the most risk today and will also help us continue to respond as local needs evolve in the coming weeks.

"We encourage any other local business who is able to, to follow suit and consider giving too.”

100% of funds raised will help groups working with people who face risk as a result of Coronavirus in Hammersmith & Fulham.
