Donations made to local branches will be given to local foodbanks
Local Co-op Funeral Homes are running an Easter Egg appeal this April, asking residents to donate chocolate eggs at their branches in Hammersmith, Fulham, Battersea or Putney.
The appeal will run until Thursday 18 April, when the eggs will be given to local Foodbanks, including H&F Foodbank.
Eggs can be donated to:
Amber-June at 162 King Street, Hammersmith
Ginny at 799 Fulham Road, Fulham
Jerry at 221 Upper Richmond Road, Putney
Blake at 296 Battersea Park Road, Battersea
These Funeralcare branches are open Monday to Friday, from 9am till 5pm.
Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank has three centres, each in a different part of borough:
White City Distribution Centre, The Hub @ 75 is at 75 Bloemfontein Road, White City W12 7DA. It is open every week on Mondays, 12.30pm - 3pm; Wednesdays, 10am - 12pm and Saturdays, 10am - 12.pm.
Fulham Distribution Centre, Christ Church Fulham, 67 Studdridge Street, Fulham, SW6 3TD. It is open every week on Tuesday from 10.30am to 1pm and Friday from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Shepherd's Bush Distribution Centre, St Simons, Rockley Road, Shepherds Bush, W14 0DA. It is open every week on Thursday from 1pm to 3pm.
Right now, the Foodbank is in urgent need of Long Life Juice (1 Litre), Tinned Rice Pudding (400gms), Pasta Sauce (in Jars), Spreads - Peanut Butter/jam, Tinned Vegetables - Peas, Carrots, Sweetcorn Etc.
You can donate at collection points across the borough, including Hammersmith Town Hall, libraries, supermarkets and Fulham Broadway Shopping Centre. There is also a new collection point at the West London Islamic Cultural Centre reception at 7 Bridges Place in Parsons Green.
