Hurlingham Park Dog Show Postponed

Heavy rains and high winds mean event not taking place on Saturday

Organisers of Saturday’s dog show at Hurlingham Park have taken the decision to postpone the event due to forecasts of bad weather according the Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

Heavy rain showers and strong winds are forecast for much of the day, threatening to spoil the popular event. Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) Council’s Parks Police Service, which organises the show, will announce a new date in the coming days.

The event follows the success of the Ravenscourt Park Dog Show in 2012 and 2013.

When rearranged it will be open to all dogs in the following classes:

Best rescue dog
Best cross breed dog
Best puppy
Best young handler
Best pedigree

There will also be a raffle, a dog agility course, free dog micro chipping, bouncy castle and slide.

The Parks Police Service will also provide advice for local dog owners on how to look after their animals within the borough’s parks and open spaces

For further details please contact the Parks Police Service on 020 8753 5999 or email Tony.Spyrou@lbhf.gov.uk. There is limited free parking in Hurlingham Park.
