Four people required hospital treatment after being bitten by a dog in Margravine Cemetery this Saturday (1 July).

The police say they received reports of a dog attacking several people in the area at 11.15am.

On arrival they located the dog and safely restrained it. At this stage, the breed has not been established.

A 48-year-old man was arrested in the cemetery on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog. He was taken into custody at a west London police station.

The injuries of the people attacked by the dog have been assessed as not being life-threatening.

Detectives from the Central West Command Unit are investigating and if you witnessed the incident you are asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 2817/01Jul.
