Victim in his twenties gunned down in Shepherd's Bush
A man has been arrested following a fatal shooting at Lakeside Road near the K-West Hotel in Shepherd's Bush at around 4.10pm on Monday May 9.
The victim is believed to be black and his twenties. An air ambulance landed in nearby Sinclair Gardens shortly after the shooting, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to unconfirmed reports the man was sitting in his car with his girlfriend when he was shot by a person riding a bike.
On Monday evening, the area around Lakeside Road, including Blythe Road and Rockley Road were closed off as police examined the scene.
On Tuesday May 10, police have confirmed that the murder is being investigated by the Met Police's Trident unit, which investigates shootings in the black community.
Police say: " An incident room will open under detectives from Trident today. One man was arrested on May 9 in connection with the inquiry and remains in custody at a west London police station."
