Teenage Girl Robbed in Street
Police appeal for information
Hammersmith and Fulham Police are appealing to the public to help them identify a man who threatened and robbed a teenage girl in the street.
The 17-year-old girl was approached by the man in Blythe Road on Sunday 6 December at around 6.15pm.
He started talking to her as she continued to walk along Rockley Road, behind the West 12 Centre. When she reached Netherwood Road, the man demanded the girl give him money or anything she had. When he threatened her, saying he had a knife, the girl handed over her mobile phone.
The man then directed the girl towards Blythe Road W14, with his hand on her shoulder and once in an alleyway, he told her to lie down. When she shouted for help, the man hit her in the stomach and placed his hand over her mouth whilst grabbing her hair and dragging her to the ground. He then smashed her head on the ground three or four times before running off.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, of stocky build and with a London accent.
An e-fit picture (opposite) has been compiled with the help of the victim.
