Police say that his next of kin have been informed. A post mortem examination took place on Friday, March 8 and an inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course.
All parties stopped at the scene, and
DS Jeff Edwards, who is leading the investigation, says:
"I am grateful for a number of people who stopped at the scene to assist both the casualty and other driver that night.
"Despite this being evening time, this stretch of road was fairly busy with commuters and I would urge anyone who may have seen any of the parties in the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to contact police."
