Offering advice to budding entrepreneurs and established businesses
Hammersmith & Fulham Council is hosting an inaurgural business summit offering hints and tips to budding entrepreneurs and established business alike at Hammersmith Town Hall on Wednesday, March 27, from 9am to 5pm.
Held in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses H&F Means Business will see small companies, from new start-ups to long established ones, come together under one roof for a day of networking, advice and support.
The summit will feature an exhibition where more than 30 local companies will be able to promote their services. There will also be a one-to-one advice clinic, where start-ups and established business owners can discuss specific issues, problems and ideas with experts in fields such as accountancy, law and marketing.
In addition there will be educational seminars across the day and several 'speed networking' sessions.
The event will launch the council’s Business Directory 2013 and refreshed business desk support service, as well as act as a chance for the council to promote the categories for its Brilliant Business Awards 2013.
H&F Council's Business Champion, Cllr Robert Iggulden says:
" This council recognises that times are tough for our local businesses. That is exactly why events such as this are so important. I look forward to meeting many of the borough’s small businesses at Hammersmith and Fulham Means Business and learning at first hand how they feel the council can help them to thrive and prosper."
Paul Kelly, FSB West London Chairman says: " H&F Council is extremely supportive of their small businesses and this is a great opportunity for businesses at all development stages and size to meet each other, benefiting from all of the activity that is taking place."
Businesses will also be able to find out about procurement opportunities with the council and council services delivered to businesses, such as trade waste collections and recycling.
There are currently 17,000 businesses in the borough, employing 121,000 people and generating £9.3billion towards the borough’s economy.
