Fulham residents are invited to take part in a giant clean-up in Bishops Park on Saturday, May 19.

This event is part of a campaign, run by the Mayor of London, which aims to help Londoners take part in the maintenance of the places where they live and work.

And other local people are being urged to join the campaign, now in its sixth year, by organising their own Capital Clean-up event.

So far, across London, 11,000 volunteers have rolled up their sleeves and taken part in over 1000 events. 4,800 bags of litter have been removed, 3,000 square metres of graffiti have been stripped clean and 9,000 square metres of habitats have been spruced up.

The event will take place from 10am to 2pm on May 19, with volunteers restoring the natural habitat, clearing and improve pathways and removing unsightly litter that threatens local wildlife.
