Shop at more than 100 stalls, enjoy live entertainment and meet Santa
King Street is going traffic free once again for the third Hammersmith Christmas Market this Saturday, 7 December from 10am to 5pm.
Bustling King Street will be full of more than 100 stalls filled with seasonal food, drink and gifts at the annual pop-up market alongside a global food quarter with an outdoor seating area.
Over in Lyric Square, there will be a stage for live music and dance performances.
Plus, there’s a jam-packed line-up of street entertainment across the car-free market which includes a skating snow man, stilt-walking ice people, two super-sized gift-wrapped walking presents and of course, Santa.
Bring the little ones down to Santa’s Grotto in Kings Mall so they can share their Christmas requests. It’s free and opens at noon
While in Kings Mall, don't miss a visit to the Made in H&F pop-up store, selling creations from local designers and artists including some great ideas for giftss. H&F Council has teamed up with Hammersmith Bid and Kings Mall shopping centre to provide the affordable retail space for more than twenty local small business owners.
The Made in H&F shop is located close to Wilko.
Over on the stage in Lyric Square, the line-up of acts includes the ZHL string quartet, indie singer George Charlton, Polish carols, as well as local residents Solana and Gabriel, a brother and sister singer-songwriter double act who have previously played at high profile events like Children in Need.
There will be even more music to enjoy throughout the day, with three additional busking pods across the market.
The Hammersmith traffic free markets follow the success of seasonal traffic free events in Fulham's North End Road, which will be hosting its own Christmas Market on Saturday 15 December.
You can find out more about both at H&F Council's page on Markets.
