King Street's First Ever Christmas Market is Here

King Street is going traffic free for the first-ever Hammersmith Christmas Market this Saturday, 2 December

The inaurgural market which follows the success and popularity of the regular traffic free North End Road Markets in Fulham.

There will be over 100 stalls filled with gifts, seasonal food and drink, plus free ice-skating sessions and a Jack and the Beanstalk-themed Treasure Hunt for the kids.

The synthetic rink will be open from 10am-5.30pm with half-hour sessions.

An impressive line-up of buskers will play throughout the day in King Street. The line-up includes the quirky musical fusions of Natasha Kirke, singer and guitarist Poppy Scarlett and even a Mariachi band - bringing the authentic sound of Mexico to W6.

There will also be circus performances from Albert & Friends Instant Circus ,music from the Irish Cultural Centre, performances from Young Lyric and much more.

Entertainment throughout the day includes carol singing cats, naughty elves, Glitter Belles on stilts, Rudolph, Ice King and Queen, a seasonal photo booth, free Christmas wrapping and children’s workshops. And of course a visit from Santa.

Motorists are being reminded that King Street will be closed between the gyratory and Leamore Street during 2 December. Buses travelling west will also be diverted.

Hammersmith's Christmas Market will be followed a week later on December 9 by the traffic free North End Road Christmas Market in Fulham.
