With yoga studio, party firm and hardware store triumphing in Public Vote
A yoga studio, a children's party business and a hardware and home improvement store have won the Public Vote in this year's H&F Brilliant Business Awards.
A record 3,700 members of the community voted for their favourite local firms in each of our three town centres, with the winners revealed at a gala ceremony held at Hammersmith Town Hall on 7 November.
In Hammersmith, the winners were Lumi Power Yoga pictured below, the King Street studio and community offering yoga for everyone.
After the ceremony, they tweeted @LumiPowerYoga:" We just want to say a BIG thank you to the community for voting for us. We couldn't have got here without you! And a very special congrats to Lumi Foundation, for being shortlisted as best social enterprise."
In Fulham the winners were Playdays Parties. Since launching in 2015, Playdays Parties, based in Fulham High Street have helped to create hundreds of perfect parties with everything they need, from bouncy castles and soft play to face painting, sweet treats and much more.
On their Facebook page, they said: " So Last Night This Happened! Playdays Parties Best Fulham Business 2018 Winners. Playdays Would Like To Thank Everyone Who Had Voted & Also Supported Us Through This Beautiful Journey We Have Had! We Would Not Be Here If It Wasn’t For You...... Bring On 2019."
In Shepherd's Bush, the prize went to Dels Hardware and Home Improvement Store, a much loved shop on Askew Road which customers describe as selling 'anything and everything'.
They were congratulated on Twitter by Askew Ward Councillors Lisa Homan, Rowan Ree and Rory Vaughan, saying: "Fantastic that for the 2nd year running an Askew has a winning business at the #hfbrill4biz18 well done Dels Hardware store for winning best Shepherds Bush Business in the public vote."
The winners of the H&F Brillliant Business Judges' Prizes were also announced at the ceremony.
In these awards, local bosses are invited to nominate their own businesses in 13 different categories.
Winners came from across the borough, and included a mix of familiar names and shining new stars:
