Borough's brightest and best firms celebrated at Hammersmith Town Hall
Hammersmith and Fulham's brightest and best businesses have been crowned at the 2017 H&F Brilliant Business Awards at a ceremony held on Wednesday 15 November, at Hammersmith Town Hall.
Five businesses in Fulham, Hammersmith and Shepherd's Bush were shortlisted in the public vote category and the winners were those who achieved the most votes from their customers and the public. They were:
In Fulham: Playdays Parties
This children's entertainment company, specialising in inflatables and bouncy castles, was started by two good friends who children of their own in January 2015, and has since provided the fun at hundreds of parties across West London.
In Hammersmith: Lumi Power Yoga
The hugely popular King Street yoga studio and community has won the vote for the second year in a row.
In Shepherd's Bush: Naama Deli
It's a third win in a row for the Lebanese butcher, grill and delicatessen, offering fresh, seasonal food made with passion and creativity in Uxbridge Road.
More than 160 businesses took part in the Judges' Vote, with a panel of business experts taking on the unenviable task of selecting the winners.
The Best Small Business award, which had the most entries of all the categories, went to Green Bay Supermarket in North End Road in Fulham. It follows the supermarket's award for Best Business in Fulham in 2016, and co-owners Paula Alcalde and Anderson Caicedo could not have been happier.

"After winning an award last year we were not expecting to win anything this year so it was a great surprise,” said Anderson. "It is an honour to be recognised by the council for all the hard work we have put in since we opened the business."
Other big winners from SW6 included micro bakery Ma Baker, hummus producer the wittily named ChicP, bed and mattress specialist Button and Sprung, promotional company Buddy Burst and Vanston Place gastropub The Malthouse, which was voted Best Place to Drink.

The best tech winner is based in Parsons Green Lane, developing culture, leisure and healthcare apps and content experiences, advising companies and helping with marketing and exhibitions
This year's awards have had a record number of entries, encompassing a huge range of services and products. "We know that Hammersmith & Fulham is one of the best places to do business in Europe," said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.
"This parade of winners confirms it, with these awards illustrating the verve and vigour of local enterprise which survives and thrives despite the uncertainty of Brexit."
