L'Elysee Artisan Cafe and Lyric Hammersmith also winners of Brilliant Business Awards
King Street Studio Lumi Power Yoga was named Best Hammersmith Business at the 2016 H&F Brilliant Business Awards, held on Thursday 17 November at Hammersmith Town Hall.
On their Facebook page Lumi Power Yoga thanked local people who nominated them in the public vote and congratulated other winners, saying: " Thank you all for your support in helping Lumi win the Best Hammersmith Business Award 2016 at the H&F Brilliant Business Awards! Huge congratulations also to GreenBay London (a vegan supermarket) for winning Best Fulham Business, and Naama for Best Shepherd's Bush Business!"
Among the Judges' Prizes, with the borough's top firms chosen by a panel of experts, L'Elysee Artisan Cafe and Patisserie in Hammersmith Road won the Best Independent Retailer category.
The Lyric Hammersmith beat rival Bush Theatre to win Best Arts Business and Mitie, which carries out repairs and maintenance to properties across the borough was named Best Local Employer.
Before the awards were presented H&F Council Leader Stephen Cowan addressed the 75 local businesses and social enterprises shortlisted for awards.
"We want this to be the most amazing business borough in Europe, " he said. "
"We think we can do it and we’ll do it with you. Let’s make H&F a place where entrepreneurs come to thrive."
This year nearly 3,000 people voted for their favourite local businesses in the H&F Brilliant Business Awards, now in their fifth year and the organisers are now hoping the 2017 Brilliant Business Awards will be even bigger.
