North End Road stallholder triumphs in this year's Brilliant Business Awards
A very popular stall in North End Road Market, Becky Blooms Flowers has been named Fulham's Best Business in this year's Brilliant Business Awards.
Rebecca Cutts, who set up Becky Blooms in North End Road Market three years ago, was delighted to win the title.
She said: " I’m really pleased - I didn’t expect to win, being a market stall when most of the other finalists were established businesses. For the first six months after we launched, we didn’t make any profit, but it grew very organically by word of mouth."
Becky went on to thank supporters on her Facebook page, saying: " Obviously we couldn't have done it without many of you. Your votes in the first instance got us to the finals, your testimonials on our facebook page contributed to the judges final decisions and your continued loyalty and custom has meant we were able to build our little business from a tiny patch of pavement and road to a prospering business.
" We feel very proud to be part of such an amazing community and we Thank you all for accepting and trusting us."
Runner-up in the category of Best Fulham Business was property maintenance company Environ Property Services, based in Munster Road.
They were among businesses of all shapes and sizes, including pubs, estate agents, restaurants and hairdressers from across the borough who won awards in 14 categories at Hammersmith Town Hall on November 26.
