The Barons Court Project has received a funding boost of £250 from local homecare provider Bluebird Care

The Barons Court Project, based in Talgarth Road supports people who are homeless, those living with mental health difficulties, and others who feel lonely and isolated, by inviting them along to their community centre to access a range of support services.

Their work over the last 20 years has proved to be a real lifeline for those that need it the most.

In July, the project applied for funding from the Bluebird Care Hammersmith & Fulham Community Grant Scheme – a sum of money set aside by the organisation to support local projects.

Bluebird Care Hammersmith & Fulham Managing Director, Soheila Amin, said: "As well as providing care & companionship services to people living in their own homes, Bluebird Care is passionate about supporting community projects and initiatives.

"So many neighbourhoods thrive because of volunteers who work tirelessly to run community groups, host events and provide services that benefit others. Much of this work involves supporting vulnerable people who, without regular coffee mornings, day-trips or lunch clubs, would be left isolated at home."

Soheila added: "We were very impressed by the work of the Barons Court Project, and therefore had no hesitation in awarding them £250 from our Grant Fund."
