Information on offer for prospective parents

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is holding a series of events during National Adoption Week from November 7 to 13.

The adoption team will be at various venues across the borough manning stalls, handing out information and talking to people about how they could become adoptive parents.

Staff will be raising awareness of children with special needs who often have to wait longer to be adopted than other children.

The stalls will be at the following venues:

November 7 - Westfield Shopping Centre: Noon-2pm
November 9 - Hammersmith Town Hall: 11am-2.30pm
November 10 - West 12 Shopping Centre, Shepherds Bush: 9.30am-5.30pm
November 12 - Kings Mall Shopping Centre, Hammersmith: 11am-3pm
November 13 - Irish Cultural Centre, Blacks Road, Hammersmith: 2pm-4pm

For more information contact the council's adoption team on 0800 169 3497. The team say they are particularly looking for people who live outside the borough, black families or anyone who is interested in adopting a child or children under eight years old.
