Crimestoppers has announced that it is offering up to £20,000 for information about the identity of two people responsible for the death of a woman in Hammersmith earlier this year.

58-year-old Ina Rodrigues was crossing Talgarth Road at the junction with Gliddon Road near to Barons Court station at around 6pm on Tuesday 16 January 2024. The mother of two was making her way home after work.

Two people were on the moped at the time of the collision. CCTV caught them abandoning their moped nearby, but they have yet to be identified and no arrests have been made in connection.

The charity is now making the offer, good for the next three months, of information it receives via its website or by calling 0800 555 111 – that leads to the conviction of anyone involved in the killing of Ina Rodrigues.

Alexa Loukas, Crimestoppers London Manager said,  “Ina’s daughters have spoken so lovingly about their ‘beautiful, kind mother’ and how heartbroken they are at losing her in such tragic and unexpected circumstances.

“I would urge people to please take a few moments to view the CCTV footage online, which clearly shows the men abandoning the motorbike and whilst they are wearing crash helmets, there may be something distinctive that you recognise.

“We know it can be difficult for some people to speak directly to the police which is why our charity is here for you. We’ve been passing on information about crime whilst guaranteeing anonymity since we were established decades ago. It’s a promise we’ve always kept.

“Crimestoppers is independent. Whilst we work with law enforcement by passing on what we’re told, we are independent of the police. With our charity you’ll stay 100% anonymous – that means no police, no courts, no witness statements. A family is grieving the loss of a loved one. Your information could be crucial in helping prevent further tragedies and in securing justice for Ina, and her devastated family and friends.”
